I wonder how many people would seriously listen to me now ?? Not because they hold me in low esteem, or that they dont consider me to be a good orator , but because its in our nature to always under-estimate and mock whoever is new to the field............ Probably tomorrow ,or say , ten years down the line, when I am on the stage speaking the same thing, after being a 'so called' achiever , or gaining some 'worldly recognition' , then people would hear in awe......
Awe struck , not by my speech, but of external worldly recognition. Thats the aura which fame, money, recognition can create. We recognise something/someone only after the world has recognised/appreciated him. We believe we are beautiful, only when others compliment our beauty. That is the power of recognition.
And there is the lack of self-belief. That is what is lacking today.
This is the reason why a young man who goes to the bank asking loan for his new business venture is refused. Refused not because his business plans have short comings or his intentions are wrong , its because of lack of belief in him. And this lack of belief in our people has been a major hindrance to our country's development. India , Nation of Ignited Minds , does not appreciate initiatives , does not appreciate talent , does not show faith in its own people... The only thing it appreciates is Legacy.
This is where an America /Japan differas from us. They have always believed in their people, supported them with resources, funds and have held their hand from stratch. They have fuelled development throught people's development and no wonder today we have a few handful names in the Fortune 500 companies and they have the rest............
While they rule the world , we organise talent hunt competitions. The talent arrives , but does not develope , as it is never recognised. It dies a premature death and I like the rest become History. But I still believe , that the future is Bright.
Because the future is ME........
